There’s not a lot to do in Pakse, Laos .
It may be the largest city in the region — but we’re talking about one of Asia’s least developed countries . While it’s a great jumping-off point for exploring the Bolaven Plateau by motorbike , the city itself isn’t that exciting.
Sometimes, you need to make your own entertainment.
So I decided to eat 10 chili peppers in a row.

Fun fact: the guy sitting to my left and wearing a hat is the guy I yelled at when his bus held us up for hours at the Laos-Cambodia border .
