Growing up, my parents limited the amount of time we spent with “digital” toys and so we often played (or should I say filled-in) Mad-libs and we would laugh for hours. If you’re my age you might remember and think fondly of that computer-less time we spent growing up. Over two years ago now, I asked my mom if she would write a few wedding Mad-libs for the blog that I could offer as free downloads and of course she said yes. She’s super creative when it comes to writing stories and she knocked it out of the park on her first try! I had no idea what kind of a crazy hit they would be, but since you guys love them so much here are 3 more themes; Asking for Her Hand, Saying YES To The Dress, and The Bridal Shower. Today is not the second, but it’s actually the third installment of these hilarious and free printables — that would make the perfect ice breaker for any wedding event!
SUPPLIES:
- FREE ‘wed-libs’ downloads below
- 8.5″ x 11″ cardstock
- Paper trimmer
- Bakers twine or ribbon
- Cute pencils
- Home printer
Once downloaded, print as many as you need – both front and back. Do test prints to make sure that you are happy with the paper and printer quality.
You can also take these files to your local print house and have them print them for you. Two ‘wed-libs’ are on each 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper. Most print house’s will cut them for you as well, with one swift chop.
I had these darling, turquoise pencils custom printed for this project by SwoonPartyShop via Etsy — aren’t they adorable?!?! They sell many different pencil colors, not just turquoise, and can write almost anything on them!
SO fun! Now… for those of you not familiar with how to play ‘ Mad Libs ‘… you are supposed to blindly fill in the words asked for (on the back of these cards) and then transfer or read them into the front paragraph. Or have a friend quiz you and fill them in on the front. It makes the story much sillier if you don’t know what it’s about!
You can find these 3 additional themes; How They Met, The Rehearsal, and The Big Day in this blog post .
You can find these 3 additional themes; The Proposal Story, The Bachelorette Party and Honeymoon Plans in this blog post .
