Liz and Jeff share a mutual love for fishing and boating and their entire wedding day was a representation of that: coastal, fun and intimate. Their incredible team of "friendors" pulled out all the stops to create one of the sweetest nautical weddings we've seen. You'll adore all that our Faves at Brooke Images were able to capture on this fabulous day!
The two met in 2010 when Liz's co-worker, Tiffany, made the introductions over a group dinner date. They were immediately inseparable and after a spring proposal last April, the wedding planning began. Liz is the owner of Liz Stewart Floral Design so, naturally, her flowers are stunning! She carried a bold bouquet of red charm peonies with dusty miller, complimented by Jeff's red ranunculus and berry boutonniere tied with rope, of course. And please check out Liz's awesomely preppy striped heels!
Looking back, both can agree that, "walking down the aisle together, hand in hand" was their favorite part of the day. "We did love our officiant, Craig O'Neal. He made us feel so comfortable. Jeff was nervous about saying our own vows, but as he puts it, 'it was like having a conversation with a friend'."
“You are my true north, my safe harbor and my anchor, strong and sure.”
The waterfront ceremony and reception were held in Tiffany and her husband's backyard near Jacksonville Beach. The boathouse and pergola were a perfect tie in with the preppy red, white and blue theme which was inspired by Liz's favorite bottle of champagne. The scene was adorned with beautiful wooden benches, rustic lanterns, buoys on rope and crisp navy with white linens. Even the guestbook and cocktail napkins were designed with a compass monogram. Love!
So many vendors made their day special: "Ashley and Greg came through with not only amazing images of the day, but loaned us their extra large galvanized tub for beer and wine, plus a gorgeous handmade cypress table we used as an oyster station on the dock. Adair of Daring Events served as day-of coordinator, keeping guests and family on track and providing a special personalized ship's wheel that adorned our cake."
The real show stopper was from our good friend and baker, Alison and her partner Hannah of Alleycakes. They created a sumptuous display of baked goods with three cakes, cookies decorated in a nautical theme and assorted tarts and bars. The dessert table was made of lobster traps turned on end."
It was a great day, for certain and such fun. I truly could have not imagined anything more perfect to represent Jeff and I. And it certainly wouldn't have happened without all the loving care and work of my sweet Tiffany, all the girls at LSFD and our wonderful vendors and friends!
So amazing, right? Liz and Jeff, congratulations and cheers to many years of happiness and success!
