One great thing about the cold weather we’ve been having: the skiing and snow sports near Vancouver are flourishing! Mount Seymour , one of the closest ski mountains to Vancouver—it’s just a half-hour drive from downtown Vancouver, in North Vancouver—has a great deal to get you on the mountain on Mondays: its 5th annual Guys Night Out – Girls Ride FREE event, which starts this Monday, January 10, 2011.
Happening every Monday after 6pm from January 10 – March 14, 2011, the Guys Night Out – Girls Ride FREE event is a great opportunity to ski and snowboard cheaply while socializing with friends. Presented by Granville Island Brewing, the event includes prizes, food and drink specials at the Rock Chute Inn (starting at 8pm), and—as the title says—free rides for ladies. The event supports breast cancer research at the BC Cancer Foundation, so donate generously; past Guys Night Out – Girls Ride FREE events have raised almost $20,000 for this great cause!
