Tritonal ft. Angel Taylor “Getaway” (Koven Remix)
The UK-based duo Koven transform the festival favorite “Getaway” from Tritonal into a scorching summertime drum & bass groove that’s sure to get those hands up even while you’re grinding away in the office. Taking the exquisite vocals of Angel Taylor and laying them over an addictive 175-BPM groove, this one takes the progressive vibes of the original and injects it with a healthy dose of dancefloor energy that winds its way between goosebump-inducing drops and dreamy atmospheres. Angel Taylor’s vocals are dialed in perfect for the epic vibes, while the beats and bassline harmony keeps things grounded on the bottom end. With the full EP from Enhanced gathering up the likes of Gareth Emery & Ashley Wallbridge, Axis, Matt Fax, and Jengi Beats on remix duties, this Koven relick stands out as an example of just how powerful a drum & bass makeover can be. —Chris Muniz

Autolaser & Pls&ty “Hiding From the Sun”(Left/Right Remix)
Left/Right’s tunes have been making the rounds over the last year or so, gaining support from AC Slater, Kry Wolf and Orbital. Beyond EDM, his numerous accomplishments as an audio engineer of 15 years include working on official remixes for Britney Spears and Shakira. His latest is an official remix for Autolaser & PLS&TY (Please and Thank You). Preserving MarØ’S pop-inspired vocal, he’s flipped the tune from bright and upbeat future bass to dirty, dark garage. While the tempo has been amped up to make it more danceable, the raw emotion is still there in the lush chords and deep bass tones. —Alexander Dias

Denis Sulta “MSNJ” (Jackmaster DJ-Kicks Exclusive)
I discovered Denis Sulta from his outings—like “A.A.S” (Nite & Day Mix)—on Glasgow-based imprint Dixon Avenue Basement Jams. If you like your house and techno raw and dirty with a whole lotta personality, definitely spend some time going through the label’s SoundCloud page .

Green Velvet “Flash” (Loco & Jam Remix)
It’s a known rule that if you're going to remix a classic, you’d better not fuck it up! Loco & Jam’s interpretation of Green Velvet’s anthem “Flash” is an absolute slammer. The Irish duo recently got signed to Blueprint Artist Agency, so one can only hope they lock down some US dates soon, so I can see them live! —Shmitty

Tom Misch “Beautiful Escape”
I’m just now jumping onto the Tom Misch train, one that’s been cruising heavily through the hearts of vulnerably emotional American 20-somethings lately. It must be his irresistible Britishness, or the voice that sounds like the actual word of Jesus—in any case, the music is actually pretty damn good and worth the listen. Having just days ago released a new EP that’s already blown up the Spotifysphere and selling out tour dates left and right, it appears our boy Tom is enjoying the fruits of (relatively) newfound success. Give it a listen; I guarantee you’ll be equally as hooked. —David Matthews

Viceroy ft. Gavin Turek “Fade Out”
When you live in L.A., you tend to take the weather for granted. It’s often, if not always, perfect, with the sun serving up daily bouts of inspiration to conquer the world and do something awesome with life. Sometimes, though, it’s a bit too much to handle, and the heat instead melts away any aspirations to do anything outside of swim in the pool of sweat beneath your bed sheets. Gross, I know.
Today, I woke up (late—I have the day off, yay!) to a blistering morning heat bursting through my window and beating my face. It’s easy to complain about the recent summer sun when it gets this intense, but again, that’s L.A. for you. And if you’re feeling more annoyed than pleased by today’s high heat, then tune into “Fade Out” from Viceroy. There’s a reason why they call this guy the Sultan of Summer, as his “Summertime all the time” mentality lives in tracks like “Fade Out.” Vocalist Gavin Turek takes it all into the perfect summer bliss for a nice dip in the infinity pool of your mind. —John Ochoa

Shura “What’s It Gonna Be?” (Tourist Remix)
The answer to the question posed in this track’s title has got to be “Tourist”—no doubt about it. I’ve been only a casual visitor of his work up until recently, when he put himself out there with the release of his debut LP, U, which really sealed the deal for me. Now, his name is one I tend to throw out when my friends and I go around the room asking which artist has been blowing our minds the most. His remix of Shura’s glittery, teenage-crush song is one I’ll be sure to lead with during our next who’s-the-most-clued-in contest. The way he builds tension around the pop-leaning vocal hook, until it crescendos into a busy yet not overwhelmingly cluttered drop, resembles the same tension-release technique Four Tet uses to take listeners on an unexpected turn. It’s accessible but nowhere near the watered-down junk most money-hungry producers are going for these days. —Sam Yu
