This week, the decades-long legacy of Space Ibiza finally came to an end, with the Space Closing Fiesta taking over the club on Sunday night. This followed an equally explosive party the previous Tuesday that saw Carl Cox wrapping up a 15-season run of his Music Is Revolution residency . Both parties were live-streamed and archived for posterity .
With the clubbing world still talking about the Space Ibiza legacy, the club itself has just released a special hour-long documentary that examines its legacy, from the early parties in the late ‘80s when Pepe Rosello first took over the club, right up until the closing blowouts this year.
“I had a history of going to the terrace when it was just comfy chairs, waitress service, a DJ behind the bar playing cool music, no sound system, no open roof, no fans, nothing, to it then becoming a super club,” Carl Cox says of his memories as resident.
