Sometimes, it can be scary to sacrifice your time at your familiar post-up spot in order to wander the other parts of the festival. At this year’s Escape: Psycho Circus , there are four total stages, each bringing an intense lineup into play. As you try to muster enough courage to parade around in the dark to seek them out, we’ll be breaking them down one-by-one so you know exactly what you’re getting into. The big-tent attraction at Escape is unquestionably Slaughterhouse, with the most savage list of artists slicing and dicing their way through a frighteningly good time. Friday is not playing around. Armin van Buuren is sharpening his trance tools for a limb-trimming set. Bringing their unofficial frat-house and bro-trap style are the Chainsmokers, who are packing a whole platter of hits. Hardwell is bringing the hard-edged heaters to keep things nice and toasty. Getting chummy with the future house followers is the behemoth Jauz. Benny Benassi breaks down the house with his lean and mean movers.
On Saturday, the music is just as meaty. Tiësto filets the F out of his mainstage-aimed bangers. Working those heart muscles is Kaskade, who never ceases to get the emotions flowing. Yellow Claw get their grips on the crowd by scratching deep into their lit discog. Up to his old tricks, and a few new ones, the Magician reaches into his bag of grooves for some four-four action. Duke Dumont follows suit, slaying bodies with his swaying selections. Putting those humps to work is CamelPhat, the enigmatic duo carrying modern house on their backs. Adam Auburn burns through the building with his smoking-hot rhythms.
As you can see, Slaughterhouse has a little something for everyone, so prepare to get pulverized by creeping through our playlist.
