Dusky’s new single, “Sort It Out Sharon,” is entirely fit for the warehouse. The music video, just released yesterday, is no different.
Fusing stripped-down techno with freestyle grime provided by Wiley—the godfather of grime himself—“Sharon” is a risk-taker and tastemaker, all at the same time. With support from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and beyond, the UK duo have once again proved themselves capable of a wide range of production styles and skills.
The music video, filmed at an ice factory in Thailand, uses photo negatives to create an eerie black & white energy throughout. “It was a great shout by the director to explore the visual aspect of the ice-making process, as the imagery really suits the track… in an interesting and abstract way,” Dusky commented.
Outer, Dusky’s newest studio album, will be released on October 14 via Astralwerks/17 Steps and is available for preorder .
