When I created my very first “ DIY Instagram Save the Date ” project I had absolutely no idea how wild the internet was going to go for them. Because of their popularity, I’ve created not only a second design but also a third and today I’m thrilled to be sharing the fourth! In the beginning they were called Instagram Save the Dates because you had to order the adorable mini-stickers through your IG account… but times have changed and now you can upload any photo that you’d like (from desktop or mobile) making these simply DIY Save the Date Invitations with Calendar Stickers, but you can call them Instagram Save the Date #4 if you’d like. The awesome reason for today’s project is that the creative team over at Canon was curious as to which free download on ST was our most popular and by far – this project is it. So they asked me to create another and I’m happy they did… I think you might be too!
Get Creative!
I’m sharing 3 different “embellishment” ideas for this project only to get your creative juices flowing. Use any color cardstock, washi tape, twine, and more to customize a Save the Date that is perfect for your unique event! And don’t forget to share them with us using the hashtag: #somethingturquoisediy on Instagram or Twitter!
***Also, I did a live broadcast on Periscope of how easy these are to make – check it out @some_turquoise !
Order Your Stickers
Visit Social Print Studio , upload and crop a pretty picture of you and your fiancé. The sticker books allow you to add 126 different pictures, so in order to get a book full of just one picture – use the plus sign until it reaches 126. Then order!
Cut Your Mini Stickers
Once you receive your photo sticker books in the mail, cut as many as you need down to strips of 2. You’ll need one strip for each invitation.

Download + Print
Grab your choice of download at the bottom of this post and print using your home printer. You can also take them to your local print shop if you don’t have a printer… or you can buy this awesome one that I’m using here! The Canon PIXMA iP8720 Crafting Printer… my fav!
12″ x 12″
As a DIY bride you need to save time and money. Because we can print 12″ x 12″ with this printer, I’ve designed you a printable that size, meaning you can get 4 invites on one sheet!
There is only 1 “sticker card” sheet and it’s 8.5″ x 11″ – with 8 cards per sheet.
8.5″ x 11″
If you don’t have access to a 12″ x 12″ printer – I’ve also designed a 8.5″ x 11″ printable for you. Only two invitation cards per sheet.
Cut Your Invitation Cards
Cut each invitation card down to 5.5″ x 5.5″ square, as instructed on the printable.
- Cut and wrap each card with a fun piece of washi tape.
- Add adhesive to the back of the sticker card and place on top of the washi tape.
- Add adhesive to the back of the sticker strip and add to the empty space on the card! It’s that simple!
- Simply circle or heart your month and date.
- Cut a strand of twine and wrap it around the card a few times; tie a bow.
