Jocelyn and Frankie searched all across North Florida for a non-traditional venue that perfectly fit the eclectic, stylish, whimsical feel they were looking for. Their white-on-white with touches of gold, wildflower-filled day in Jacksonville Beach was beautifully captured by Bri Cibene Photography .
Jocelyn and Frankie, who now live in Orlando, met while working for the same family in New York City - he as a personal assistant, and she as a nanny. The two share a lot of common interests - running, biking, travel and outdoor activities - but have contrasting, and complimentary personalities. Jocelyn tells us she's the calm and insightful one, while Frankie is outgoing and talkative.
Wanting her girls to be comfortable, she asked them to choose their own champagne-hued dresses with a hint of sparkle - she loved how it their choices all turned out. She also really loved how well the wedding party, many of whom hadn't met before, got along and had a great time on the day.
Searching for a non-traditional location for their big day, Jocelyn checked out tons of venues in Orlando, Tampa, St. Pete and Augustine before looking towards Jacksonville Beach. The pictures of Casa Marina online sparked her interest, and a site visit sealed the deal. Having St. Paul's Catholic Church nearby was the icing on the cake.
Jocelyn scoured Pinterest for ideas to fit her style: "I am very into whites for my own home, and knew that I wanted to stay with that because it is timeless. I love the look of wildflower bouquets/centerpieces and wanted to make them pop, so that was the only color in all of the decor. To tie everything in, I added splashes of 'sea glass' colors with the vases along with golds and copper." Adding to the bride's eclectic, boho style were the hints of beachy elements, like shell escort cards, palm fronds and hand-lettered driftwood table numbers.
The bride and her father, who has been salsa dancing for a long time, planned a fun dance together for the reception; it was one of Jocelyn's favorite moments.
Congratulations, you two!
