Hello again, Something Turquoise readers. It’s Lauren from Undeclared Panache , checking in with an amazing “Steal this Style” table top inspiration. Like Jen, I am drawn to color, so it’s not too often I swing for the moody, neutrals, that makes today’s table top a little different than my usual. If you’ve ever visited Undeclared Panache, you might know that I am also obsessed with all things Italian, so maybe that’s why I’ve been so enamored by this simple, organic Italian Osteria Wedding inspiration found on Green Wedding Shoes .
While I’m usually pinning table tops that use vintage glassware and lots of beautiful florals, I love that the beauty of this table lies in the layers and textures. The place settings are as basic as can be, but stacked upon the slate placemats and among the abundance of warm candle light, they get new life. I think I should note that if you’re going to achieve this look, I think it’s pretty essential that you start with a rustic table.
This look could be easily achieved without a professional florist. Start with amber glass bottles from etsy or the flea market, and add a variety of greens to the only flower used here, white ranunculus. They also layered bay leafs and coffee beans directly on the table for a charming, organic look. To take it to the next level, you could create a DIY herb garland by using mini clothes pins or tying bunches of thyme to twine and stringing above the table.

The slate placemats pictured below are absolutely stunning and add great depth and dimension, however if you are a DIY savvy bride and want to save a few bucks, you could achieve this look by painting old placemats or boards with chalkboard paint.
