When you look back on your wedding day you want to remember it being happy, beautiful, exciting and most importantly – fun! Deana and Nicholas’ wedding took a rustic theme and made it timeless. We are in love with the colors and energy that this couple brought to their big day, not to mention Tinsel & Twine’s decor and their fabulous photos captured by Weddings by Two ! Take a peek!
Deana and Nicholas were married in the Church of Saint Vincent Ferrer in Manhattan – where Deana went to high school. Her beautiful walk down the aisle featured a Bridal & Co Lace Mantilla Cathedral Length Veil , which added a soft and classic touch to her light ivory Victoria Nicole gown. ”It was the very first dress that I saw when I walked into the bridal shop and I knew right away I wanted to try it on,” said Deana. ”It reminded me a little of Audrey Hepburn’s dress in ‘Funny Face’.”
The couple chose a color palette of lemony yellow and slate grey to create a soft and modern feel. Each bridesmaid was able to choose her favorite cocktail length JCrew Bridal dress in graphite, which gave them each an individual style all while keeping the group cohesive. The groom and his men wore grey Vera Wang suits with black ties to match the girls.
The orange ranunculus and petite yellow roses added a great pop of color to the party’s grey outfits! By adding color only through flowers, you can keep your bridal party looking very modern and clean.
While searching for a venue for their reception, the couple literally stumbled upon The Metropolitan Building . ”The raw, exposed, nontraditional setting was exactly what we had been looking for,” said Deana. ”We knew we could make it our own. And with the help of our wedding planners, that is exactly what we did.”
Centerpieces are a great way to add some color and life to a reception. Deana and Nick gave their party a little flavor with these amazing, rustic-styled centerpieces! The tables were topped with burlap squares and styled with colorful, fragrant and edible arrangements such as glass bottles filled with olive oil and flanked wire baskets holding loaves of bread. Surrounding the arrangement were wreaths of eucalyptus, lemons and white lisianthus.
These simple and organic touches created by Tinsel and Twine added a beautiful and rustic element to the table settings – such a great substitute for the usual flower and candles!
DJ Gaza of 74 Events created a wild dance floor at this wedding, especially when he ended the party with a few Bouncing Souls songs. Deana and Nicholas share a love for The Bouncing Souls , so when their songs came on everyone rocked out! ”We live our life in our own way, Never really listened to what they say, The kind of faith that doesn’t fase away, We are the true believers.” Cheers!
