With a stunning location, great fashion {and a whole lot of fun for good measure}, Caroline and Greg’s wedding combined the glamour of old New York with a modern sensibility that we love so much! When Adagion Studio sent these photos to us, we couldn’t wait to share them with all of you… Take a peek and get inspired!
A wedding is your day to shine and to have fun…not only down the aisle and at the reception, but also while getting ready! {Girls just wanna have fun, right?} Caroline kept that in mind while her and her girlfriends got dolled up for the big day! ”The getting ready had to start super early and I was determined to make it a fun experience,” said Caroline. ”We had nice music, ordered food and just enjoyed each other’s company. I made sure my hair and makeup people were ladies I genuinely wanted to be around and we had a blast. There were only tears when I put on the dress and the whole experience kind of hit me.”
Caroline wore a gorgeous Vera Wang gown in a mermaid cut and accessorized with Jimmy Choo heels and t0-die-for earrings! Many girls wonder whether to stay traditional in style or be more on trend…We love how Caroline took a classic dress and added her own modern flare with great jewelry and fabulous shoes! Perfection!
We a.d.o.r.e. the edgy and dramatic side of New York that Adagion Studios captured along with the fun and bright colors that surround us in this great city!
While some people can stress out about what to wear to the rehearsal dinner or after party, Caroline kept her cool and turned to some fabulous resources! ”I love Rent the Runway !” said Caroline. ”I’m 4’9” so it’s a total nightmare for me to find clothes. And the week before my wedding I still didn’t have a dress for the rehearsal dinner or something to keep me warm on the big day {and I couldn’t just wear any old coat}!” Looks like RTR saved the day.
Caroline and Greg chose the Angel Orensanz Foundation for their ceremony and reception site. “We live in New York, but Greg is from Miami,” said Caroline. ”So first we were contemplating doing the wedding in Miami, but that didn’t feel right… So we looked at venues in New York and once we saw our venue, there was no question it was the one for us. It was absolutely stunning but in a very unique way – When you’re there it feels like you’re transported back 200 years and you’re in another world. The saying ‘They don’t make them like they used to’ definitely applies to this venue.”
The couple decided to keep the decor very neutral to distract from the beautiful venue, which provided vibrant colors and a great backdrop for photos! With light flowers, some great candle lighting and simple decor, the Angel Orensanz was only enhanced with simple touches, which made a great statement.
Caroline and Greg created a guest book with photos from their engagement session… it was definitely something they could look back at for years to come!
