If you are yet to get your tickets for our Wedding Festival on the 18th September then tickets are just a click away …
Oakdale holds a very special place in one of our Cwtch girls hearts as the venue of choice for our Lindsey’s wedding. After saying her vows in St Fagans Castle and having a drinks reception in the castle grounds. Lindsey and her party set off to the other side of St Fagans to Oakdale Working mens institute by foot and by land train!!

We absolutely LOVE this aspect of weddings in St Fagans allowing guests to really feel as if they were in the heart of this beautiful place that holds nostalgic memories for so many.

Oakdale Workmen’s Institute was originally a focal point for social and cultural life in the early 20th century but more recently, the beautiful stone building has been the location of many a wedding at St Fagans .
Oakdale is a particular favourite among couples going for a vintage theme to their wedding as the ‘village hall’ feel brings with it an air of romantic history from a bygone era.
The rich, wooden interior provides a traditional feel for civil wedding ceremonies, echoing the time-honoured vibe of the venue as a whole and can accommodate up to 90 seated guests.

St Fagans also offers Oakdale Workmen’s Institute as a unique reception venue. The Concert Hall on the first floor is the perfect space for wedding celebrations. The stage is ideal for evening entertainment and its handy sprung floor means you can dance the night away in style!

In line with the vintage vibes, many couples opt for an afternoon tea style wedding breakfast at Oakdale. Couples often chose to decorate the rooms in keeping with their wedding. It is extremely flexible in its layout enabling it to be arranged to suit the needs of any particular wedding.

The character and authentic charm offered by Oakdale means the ‘village hall’ style already offers an unique and interesting interior which so many couples fall in love with when visiting.
