Recently we teamed up with Johnson City premier retailer, Mahoney’s and Eastern Tennessee State University student housing facility, The Heights at 1301 , to bring students the area’s first ever hammock lounge! Eastern Tennessee has some great hammocking spots and now residents of The Heights at 1301 won’t have to travel further than their backyard to kick back and relax.
Friday evening, May 2nd, we co-sponsored a kick off with Mahoney’s to unveil the hammock lounge. We hung out (literally of course), listened to music and grilled out as Mahoney’s tempted students with their impressive table display boasting some of the freshest summer gear they have in stock right now, including brands like: Camelbak , Kavu , Chaco and ENO Hammocks 😉
Adjacent to the property’s swimming pool and main lobby, the hammock lounge was an instant success with the students and quickly filled up. Mahoney’s also passed out generous 15% off store coupons for ENO hammocks and raffled off two hammock and strap sets!! Wow! Thanks Mahoney’s!
It all started when The Heights decided to offer incentive for signing a new lease (or resign an existing lease) for the student apartment complex. Additionally, The Heights plans to install hanging kits within the apartment of each participant. Finally,the co-sponsored hammock lounge was the grand finale to the concept.
