Last week it was revealed that Martin Garrix had tapped into his love of video games for the sake of the annual E3 Expo in Los Angeles, unveiling the new track “Oops” that he’s been giving away for free on his website . Garrix said the track was inspired by his love of 8-bit video game soundtracks, and this week he’s taken it a step further with an actual video game.
Oops has now become a fully playable, browser-operated video game, bringing to life the artwork that accompanied the original track’s release. Just like its musical component, the game draws heavily on the golden era of side-scrolling 8-bit platformers.
