Outdoor retailers urge Congress to approve conservation funding

CONSERVATION -- Good to see retailers taking a stand for a government program that offers states matching money for programs important to fish and wildlife, not to mention hunting, fishing and other outdoor recreation.

Outdoor Industry Association urges Congress to fully fund conservation fund
On Wednesday, the opening day of the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City, Outdoor Industry Association President Frank Hugelmeyer said the Colorado-based group was urging Congress to allocate the full $900 million in funding to the Land and Water Conservation Fund, which has been fully funded just once in its 50-year history.
