Travel Blogs: Best of the Week (June 6-12, 2010)

Lots of great posts this week.  Here are some of my favorites:

Introverts or Extraverts: Who Make the Best Travelers? Andy from 501 Places , a self-identified introvert, makes the case for travel being better suited to introverts.  It’s a great piece and the comments are interesting as well.  Personally, I have no idea whether I’m even an introvert or extravert!

The Bombshell on Burkina Faso : Chances are that this West African country is not on your itinerary.  Here, Benny from Amateurs in Africa guest posts on y Travel Blog about a country that isn’t covered very often on the RTW blogs.

Fitness on the Move : If strength training is part of your workout routine, you’re probably wondering how you can keep up while traveling.  Josh at The Wander Project lists several exercises that can be done equipment-free!  Throw in some walking and you’ll have a perfect workout.

Travel Yourself – St. John’s, Newfoundland / Candice and Cailin do St. John’s, Newfoundland : Cailin of Travel Yourself recently visited Candice of Candice Does the World in her hometown of St. John’s, Newfoundland. This is the resulting video — and St. John’s is quite the funky city with gorgeous natural scenery and some oddball characters!

Street Photos – Oaxaca, Mexico : I love these photos taken by Beth of Beers and Beans .  They have a rough quality that I love — you can feel the energy of the city through them.

6 Bizarre Eating Rituals Around the World : Nellie from Wild Junket takes us through some odd eating traditions, from blood drinking to magic mushrooms in Siberia to poisonous fish in Japan.  A fun post.

Have any travel blogs that you recommend? I’m always looking for good stuff to read.
