This past February, Victoria attended a Superbowl gathering at the home of her new church's pastor. She met her future husband on the front doors of that home, a gorgeous sprawling property outside of Tampa filled with forests, wildflowers and a lake; they returned there four months later to document their love with an engagement session with Laura Foote of Captured In His Image Photography .
Sean was living at the pastor's home at the time, and those beautiful surroundings became an integral part of his and Victoria's love story.
“His house meant a lot to us, it's where we first met, it's where he asked me to be his girlfriend, it's where we prayed together, it's where we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.”
Three weeks after the two began dating, Victoria's mother was diagnosed with stage 4 liver and lung cancer. Knowing time was short, and confident in their love and future together, Sean got down on one knee in full firefighter gear at his fire station to ask Victoria to marry him. The two were married on that very same property in June, and are starting the journey and hard work of marriage given to them by what they feel is a miracle. Says Victoria, "Things are still hard and marriage isn't easy but I see the work of God in our lives every day. Marriage is work and the most important thing to remember is that love is action."
