Incorporating the little ones into their wedding day was a top priority for James and Kim. Finding the perfect location, sharing the cutest (and fuzziest) favors while spending the day embraced in love was just the icing on the cake. Merari Photography captured the warmth of each moment in Miami Beach.
From Kim: We had planned to hold our wedding in the U.S. because we wanted a good reason for a nice celebration with the possibility of all my siblings attending. My eldest brother lives near San Francisco, the next older brother lives in Seattle, the next older brother lives in Ireland, plus myself and my younger sister and youngest brother live in the U.K. Yep, there’s 6 of us all together.
Florida happened to pop up as an idea and we knew that Disney World would be fantastic for our little angels. The Palms Hotel and Spa stuck out. Stephanie Lawston-Cruzado was our main point of contact and did everything she could to assist with all of our queries (and we had plenty). It was a pleasure working with Stephanie and the added bonus was that the venue was beautiful. We selected the gazebo for the ceremony and the veranda terrace for the dinner reception. And it didn’t hurt that the hotel was right on Miami Beach.
On a warm Wednesday afternoon, a handful of their closest friends and family gathered around the gazebo to celebrate their marriage. The kids carried stuffed bunnies down the aisle and their daughter even read her favorite storybook during the ceremony! Of course, a whimsical bubble recessional was the perfect finale.
Both Kim and her daughter were born in the year of the rabbit, so they took that little fact and ran with it with a miniature petting farm filled with adorable bunnies. It's quite possibly the cutest kid-friendly wedding entertainment we've seen. Coloring books and stickers provided even more delight for the children which allowed the adults to catch up (that's the whole point, right?). Shades of blush pink flowers and family photos at each table rounded out the look and carried the family theme throughout.
The family spent the evening dancing to songs from the movie Frozen and Bruno Mars. There was also some dessert indulgences which satisfied the bride's sweet tooth.
Back across the pond, Kim is tending to the kids while James works in Scotland. They'll all be reunited this summer to start the rest of their days together. Congrats to each of you!
