Outdoor Barn Wedding by Menning Photographic

Dearest readers, there is nothing that gets me going more than a good love story. This couple, Ashley and Nic, were full of love on the biggest day of their lives together. The setting was perfect at the Snode’s Restored Country Barn, and it provided a beautiful backdrop for stunning photos by Menning Photographic . The photos captured at dusk (at the end of the post) are my absolute favorite. I love how the groom appears to be sweeping his bride away into the sunset. Swoon!

Thanks to the photographer, we have a little bit of a inside scoop on their big day:

The wedding ceremony took place beneath a beautiful blue sky on a sunny day in September. Many of the vendors were family members lending a helping hand to this largely DIY wedding: the cake was crafted by the groom’s aunt, the flowers were made by a family friend, and the centerpieces were built by the bride, her bridesmaids, and her friends.The heartfelt moments during the ceremony brought many guests & the groom to tears. The reception took place in the barn & there were games for guests to play on the lawn.

The atmosphere was casual and laid back…very country with an emphasis on simplicity and true love. Anyone in attendance could witness the love and adoration between the couple as they gazed into each other’s eyes lovingly during the first dance, laughed together during the cake cutting, and stood embracing one another while chatting with guests. We especially love the bride & groom portraits during the golden hour, as the surroundings and the orange glow from the setting sun encompassed the couple & aptly reflected the romantic mood of the day.
