Countless navy details & sequin covered Sperry boat shoes are only a few of the reasons we fell in love with these images. Perhaps the best part of this day is what it symbolized. Prior to becoming engaged several family tragedies struck the bride. Amidst the chaos, her fiancé Chris decided to propose at the house that they were having built. “Chris knelt on the ground of our future home and asked me to be his bride. As our new home represents the beginning of the next chapter of our lives, he thought proposing on this site would symbolize the beginning to the adventure we were embarking upon. I am so thankful that Chris not only stood by me 110% through each obstacle, but seemed to see the best in me, even when I didn’t believe there was much good to be seen at all. I don’t think he could begin to know how beautiful and perfect his proposal truly was for me, a new, fresh start in a different part of Virginia with new memories to be created as a married team.”
