Chartwell Country Club Wedding | Marcella Treybig Photography

This wedding by Marcella Treybig is unquestionably near and dear to my heart as I’ve lived in Severna Park for the past sixteen years. This wedding is filled with incredible colors and textures from soft vintage looking florals to the igniting fire of a single sparkler. Joy & Felipe’s love shines through these laughter-filled images! We’ll let Joy share with you her favorite part of their special day,

“What I remember about my wedding day the most was the moment I rounded the corner to start walking down the aisle with my dad on my arm and I saw my husband standing at the end. He had tears in his eyes and I will never forget the expression on his face! I walked in to the song All I ask of you, from the Phantom of the Opera and I cannot hear that song without being brought back to that moment.”

All of the details of the day were left entirely to Joy and Felipe as they chose not to hire a wedding planner. We think they did an incredible job! Joy tells engaged couples,

“Don’t be swayed out of doing something that you want because it’s impractical. Your wedding day is the day to be a little impractical! I had people tell me that long bridesmaid dresses in August was ridiculous but it was the vision I had in my head and not one of my bridesmaids complained because the fabric was so light and delicate. I had people tell me I couldn’t have THAT many flowers in my ceremony arch because they would wilt/die in the sun, but I insisted and guess what? 9 times out of 10 the venders CAN make things happen if you insist. They can get creative. I wanted a 4 tier cake but only needed 3 tiers to feed everyone so I suggested they ice a foam tier at the bottom to add some height and the baker agreed! She had never done something like that but it saved me big time because I still only paid for 3 tiers. If somethings is important to you/the look of the theme its okay to be a little impractical and push for it.
