How to Decorate
While the crafty food and creative drinks will give your bash their own flair, it is always fun to add some extra elements of personal décor. Here are a couple of details that we love.
This fabulous envelope enclosed ballot is easy to make and beyond adorable. If you don’t have these fun paper bags sold on www.wordpress.com you can use any paper bag you have at home. With this envelope, you can encourage your friends to fill out their own ballots. The person who gets the most awards right wins a prize!

Another idea we love is incorporating the red carpet in a non-traditional way. Instead of lining the path leading up to your house with a vinyl red fabric that will inevitably bunch and rip, consider some fun other ways to incorporate it. Make a “red carpet” runner down the center of your table using red flower petals or add an inexpensive red tablecloth runner (or pull out a red runner left over from the holidays) down the center of your buffet. Another fun idea is to add a path of red balloons leading into the house.
Finally, we love the idea of laying down some director’s cut clap-boards (you can find them at most party stores) and using them as appetizer trays!
Don’t forget to have all your guests wear their most fabulous outfits to get in the Hollywood mood! Hope you all find this helpful and can incorporate some of these ideas into your own Oscar parties! Stay tuned for some hot Oscar fashion predictions coming soon!!! xox, Mindy
