St Fagans Castle is a Grade 1 listed building and one of the finest Elizabethan manor houses in Wales.  Open to the public since 1 November 1948, St Fagans Castle is a late 16th-century manor house with gardens, donated to the people of Wales by the Earl of Plymouth.

Receptions can be held in the Castle dining room, which also holds 40-seated guests.  The Hall was the height of Victorian style, decorated in dark oak with an intricately carved fireplace bearing the family coat of arms.

Beautiful garden displays surround the Castle including an Italian garden (laid out in 1902, restored in 2003) and thyme garden, while there are many features original to the site.  Fish ponds, fountains, a mulberry grove, vinery and an exquisite rose garden add depth and colour to the Museum’s picturesque grounds which offer ideal photo opportunities for couples.  The gardens also lend themselves well to winter weddings and many a bride has enjoyed picture opportunities against a snowy backdrop at St Fagans .
