I have never been a big fan of having my photo taken and this was a massive worry for me. I can see that it is a worry for other ladies as well. Our Graceful Bride tells us about her love/hate of photos. If you have missed any of here other post you can find them here . Take it away Vicky!
Our Graceful Bride
My love/hate of photos
This blog post has had a fair few guises so far! It started out when I wrote one on what felt like the longest Sardinia flight ever whilst French air traffic control were on strike (cheers France!) before I promptly forgot to save it and lost the whole thing. Then I threatened the Cwtch Girls with a post on the annoyance of computers instead but couldn’t quite figure out how to tie that in to wedding chat so here I am again, attempt number whatever!! It’s kind of apt though as I’d started talking about bad times in the original version. 2015 was not a great year for us, shortly after we got engaged we had to have Taylor, our rough collie, put to sleep which was followed a month later by sadly losing Robs dad.

Again more bugging Rob occurred as I proceeded to show him every single photo on the website over and over again whilst we discussed our options, David being above our original budget (an issue when you live with an accountant!) Rob didn’t understand my complete need to get the photography sorted all of a sudden, although to be fair neither did I, but agreed in the end (possibly to shut me up) and so I tried to send the least begging email I could muster. We even managed to avoid any arguments over the cost when my parents decided that the photography would be their financial contribution to the wedding. I thought I’d calm down after that but then couldn’t get over the fact that David photographs all these beautiful weddings in beautiful locations, I convinced myself that we wouldn’t add up to them and we’d let him down.

As I said the timing of all this wasn’t ideal and looking back now I can see it wasn’t the best idea to keep planning in those couple of months but I’m also so glad that we found David and got in early enough to book him. I’m still completely in love with all his photos and have faith that he can make me look good in at least one (lol) he’s even promised I can look at some on the day to shut me up, just not all of them! I still have a panic every now and then, generally when another stunning wedding pops up on his Instagram, but I think I’m getting better, plus he seems genuinely excited about coming to Wales, he’s even staying for a few days to go photograph some landscapes! In the mean time I’m forcing us into taking the odd selfie when we’re out places so that my phone isn’t full of pictures from flying and of the dog! I doubt they’ll make it to my Instagram (seriously flying and dog heavy on there) but it’s a start, even if Rob looks a bit bemused in most of them!
