Folditure designers team has just announced the debut of their newest (folding) chair. An elegant mix of planar surfaces, curved edges and voids, forms a three dimensional sculpture around Folditure’s patented folding mechanism.
The result is a stunning new design and functionality – the Maya chair, which is a uniquely comfortable formal chair with a slightly curved tall backrest, breathable mesh seat and solid feel. It folds effortlessly with a flick of the wrist to a perfectly flat 1.25 inches slim silhouette. And like all Folditure products it can hang elegantly in a standard closet when not in use.
The chair is crafted from the highest-grade eco harvested plywood in the market. The silhouette of the folded chair conveys the ultimate message of the designer. It is reminiscent of the Mayan bird, a symbol of resourcefulness, wisdom, transformation and renewal.
