I love popcorn. I feel like most people are either crazy for it or could live without it. Although there is some debate over which type is the best; savory or sweet. I love the savory kind… dill, olive oil, cheddar, jalapeño, garlic, oh my… I could keep going. If you or your fiancé enjoys indulging in popped corn kernels, you should totally make these He Popped The Question Popcorn Favors for your engagement party or bridal shower! I used my gorgeous + gold Canon PIXMA MG7720 Printer to get the terrific detail and color out of these labels, which of course are free to download at the end of the post. Did you hear I’m giving 5 of these amazing printers away? Contest ends this Wednesday so enter now ! Oh, and just in case it was a SHE popping the question – we made a design for that too!

SUPPLIES:
- Canon PIXMA MG7720 Wireless Photo All-in-One Printer
- 8.5″ x 11″ Sticker Paper
- 6″ x 4″ Clear Plastic Containers
- Bulk Popcorn (in your favorite flavor)
- Cute Washi Tape
- Scissors
- Scale (optional)
Download + Print + Cut
Download our darling FREE printable labels at the end of the post and save them to your computer. I’m using my fabulous Gold, Canon PIXMA MG7720 Wireless Photo All-in-One Printer to print the design onto 8.5″ x 11″ sticker paper. Sticker paper is the key. No worrying about buying or finding the correct size labels – the entire sheet is a blank white sticker! I love that as soon as you insert new paper, this printer asks you what kind it is. For optimal printing, choose Matte photo paper. Then cut out each 3.75″ round label, the ink dries instantly!
Fill The Containers With Popcorn
For this favor, buying your favorite flavor of popcorn in bulk is a necessity. Fill each of the plastic food containers with popcorn. These exact 6″ x 4″ containers from PaperMart.com perfectly hold 2.5 ounces of popcorn.
Line Up The Seams
When you put the lids on, line up the seam in both the lid and container so they look clean.
Seal With Washi Tape
Seal the containers using some cute washi tape! Sometimes washi doesn’t like sticking to itself, so if the end of your tape is lifting up – just hit it with a glue stick.
To keep your popcorn at it’s freshest, you’ll want to assemble these as close to your event as possible and store them in a cool dry place.
Add The Labels
Carefully peel the backing off each label and add to the top of your popcorn tubs… done!
Washi Tapes
I’ve used some fun and unique washi tapes to match the label design – here are links to the exact ones I used: Teal Love , Gold Stripe , Gold Mini-Hearts , Red Chevron , Solid Gold , and the Wedding Design .
