Lucky for you NYC ladies, they’ve also caught the eye of bridal style visionary Mark Ingram … and he’s showcasing all of these {plus more} at his legendary Upper East Side atelier this weekend.
These stunning wedding dresses are all designed by Minnesota-based and Parson’s trained designer Tara LaTour … A designer whose new collection has bridal style experts raving. They debut at Mark Ingram {by appointment only} today – and will be available over the weekend as well.
I had the chance to catch up with Mark Ingram earlier this week and receive a special sneak peek of Tara’s line, and believe me ladies, it’s even more breathtaking in person. Tara LaTour’s gowns can be perfectly described as the essence of modern romanticism…
Tara”s interest in fashion was first sparked as a young child when she would rummage through her grandmother’s fabric drawers and watch her construct wedding gowns. These experiences left a huge impression on the designer and have served as a major influence in Tara’s life.
Tara pursued a fashion education at Parson New School for Design in New York City. While there, her new approach to bridal began to create a buzz in the industry, and upon graduation she decided it was time to make her dream of designing her very own bridal collection come true.
Tara’s bridal gowns are made to be both unique and wearable. She is known for her attention to detail and hand-sewn fabric treatments which complete her ethereal and romantic vision. Every collection is also kissed with color, her signature element.
When designing, she often looks to her family and where she is from for inspiration. In Tara’s own words, “I am really proud of where I come from, the family I have around me and the experiences I have been fortunate to experience. Those are the things that I find inspiration in and that drive me.”
