Blind dates…somtimes they’re rough and some times they’re magical. Lucky for Mary and Ed, theirs was definitely the latter!
Mary and Ed were set up by co-workers and their first date {which lasted over seven hours} ended on a bench in Central Park. One year later, Ed proposed to Mary on that same bench…which brings us to the present! Jason Groupp Photography shared their beautiful day with us and we couldn’t wait to pass it along to you! Take a peek!
Mary wore an Ulla-Maija Couture dress with white French rose floral lace and a fluted skirt. She paired the dress with Jimmy Choo shoes, a cathedral length veil and her mother’s diamond necklace.
Each bridesmaid picked her own jewel tone colored dress – we love the mix of beautiful colors! By sticking with a consistent fabric, it’s easy to mix and match bridesmaid dress colors without looking uncoordinated!
Ed and his sons all sported Navy Brooks Brothers suits with Ferragamo ties and Paul Stuart french cuff shirts. They also wore Tiffany cufflinks with their initials on them – love the detail!
Floralia Decorators did a beautiful job of incorporating jeweled tones into the Waldorf Astoria . With neutral and soft linens, the flowers certainly popped! Tables were decorated with vibrantly colored hydrangeas and red roses, as well as crystal votives. Cam Turner Design created the elegant and chic card displays that paired beautifully with the bold flowers.
“One highlight of the night was our 16 month old son breaking away from his nanny half way through the first dance to join us on the dance floor,” said Mary. ”We had picked this song because we used to dance to it with Charlie when he was a newborn.”
