Sometimes something so perfect comes along that you say “I MUST have that!” That is exactly what we said when we laid eyes on this engagement session by Paper Antler – a traveling, photographing duo. This was a difficult posts to put together simply because there were so many incredible images that I just couldn’t narrow down which to use. I don’t know that words can do justice to the images you are about to behold. The ones taken under the canopy of orange and yellow leaves seem to be other worldly. As we all look forward to spring, take a nice long look back at this autumn engagement by the bay.

Colorful Kent Island Wedding | Rachel Smith
Colorful Kent Island Wedding | Rachel Smith
Today marks a special moment in Bayside Bride history- our 500th post! It’s hard to believe that we’ve been so blessed to have shared hundreds of gorgeous photo sessions and tips for brides-to-be since our start back in 2011! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you wedding vendor community and fantastic readers! To show our thanks we wanted to bring in an extra wedding at the end of the week. In fact the bride featured in this post turns out to be one of our lovely readers! This stunner of a wedding was shot by the talented Rachel Smith and we are just smitten with the vivid colors. We’ll let Rachel tell you a bit about the couple’s story,
“Jaime and Brian met senior year of high school while working at Carmen’s Italian Ice. Becoming instant friends they found themselves doing everything together but weren’t actually dating, yet. Jaime went off to Virginia Tech and Brian stayed in Baltimore for college. Despite the distance they remained great friends. By senior year of college Brian couldn’t resist any longer and asked Jaime if she would be his girlfriend. Jaime cared deeply for Brian and wanted the same but feared she might lose her now very close friend. She nodded yes in agreement and thank goodness she did because Brian turned out to be the man she would marry.”
What made this wedding extra special?
“As a little something extra for the guests to enjoy, the bride and groom offered a beer tasting during cocktail hour. The beverage was the local Dogfish Head, craft brewed ales. Another special touch that included the guests’ participation was a “guest book painting”. Instead of a traditional signature guestbook, each guest put their artistic talents to work and personalized a square on a wedding guest book canvas. The guestbook now hangs in the newlyweds home! Instead of a standard wedding card box, Jaime had a custom mailbox created as a unique way to collect cards from guests. The couple had no reservations about having the time of their lives and designing their wedding to match their personalities. Jaime jumped on the microphone and sang along with the Doug Segree Band and Brian flaunted his new kicks during the Hora.”

Timeless Yacht Club Wedding | Marcella Treybig Photography
This Annapolis Yacht Club wedding shot by Marcella Treybig has us head over heels! We’ve never seen a more charming first dance and don’t even get us started on the gorgeous stained glass backdrop at the ceremony venue! Everything about this wedding was fate. With Lauren from Texas and the groom calling Maryland home it took the magic of online dating to get these two together. We think a little Annapolis looks great on this southern bride, don’t you?
