Segment & Concept Vision ft. Cod3x “Thirst”
Segment and Concept Vision return to the always-essential Eatbrain imprint with a vengeance on the smoking Roar EP. While all five tracks on the EP are absolutely proper killers, it’s this dreamy burner featuring Cod3x that keeps us coming back for more. Ethereal desert vibes open up the track, as sci-fi cinematics bring on the proper feels before dumping into a stomping, tech-driven beast sure to have the heads banging on the dancefloor. With a subtle vocal stab and exquisitely crafted atmosphere, this one represents the Russian neurofunk crew at their very best. Essential! —Chris Muniz

Flosstradamus, FKi 1st & graves ft. Post Malone & Key! “Came Up”
I’ll be first in line to admit this: I am not a trap fan. It’s not for me. I never liked it and probably never will, and that’s OK. Still, I appreciate the genre for what it is and what it offers fans, and you can damn well bet you’ll catch me fully flexing my trap arms at any Flosstradamus show. Their live energy reaches rock-star status—mosh pits, crowd-surfing, head-banging, etc.
On their latest, the trap dons ratchet down the ratchetry for a future-leaning, pretty little number. This is Flosstradamus reaching far beyond the bass barricades and into mainstream America’s radios. A feature from of-the-moment hip-hop-head Post Malone welcomes newcomers via his warbled sing-rapping, while Floss do their thing alongside producers FKi 1st & graves. It’s a nice break from the full-velocity bass beats from Floss, and it’s the key to welcoming average dance fans into full trapdom. —John Ochoa

Kon’s Choir “Sing Your Song”
Kon (which stands for “King of Nothing”) has been spreading his dancefloor gospel for many years now, reaching mythical status among those in the know. It’s because he’s able to unearth gems like this and edit them in a way that keeps true to the original spirit, while dusting it with a 21st-century dancefloor vibe. Hit play if you want to hear what a splash of soulful sunshine across a 3am dancefloor sounds like. —Boojie Baker

Grum “You’ll Know”
The spawn of Pryda (what many of us used to call him) is now officially the spawn of Above & Beyond. He’s been making some serious moves lately, including an extensive summer tour that just stopped off in L.A. this past Saturday. Previously one of my main go-tos for deep progressive sets, it would seem as though Graeme Shepherd, aka Grum, has now fully jumped onto the Anjunabeats train, scoring an ABGT record of the week, a guest mix, ABGT show dates, and now this: a feature on Anjunadeep Worldwide. “You’ll Know” is that kind of progressive trance that will give you nostalgic shivers for the classic days of uplifting melodies and driving beats. Thank god for Dreamstate, amiright? —David Matthews

MSCLS “Fired Up”
MSCLS is part of a growing hoard of Texas producers who are taking the house music world by storm. Hailing from Austin, this is his most recent and most widely lauded musical project, grabbing support from AC Slater, Diplo and Jauz. “Fired Up” is featured as part of a compilation from the now-legendary Aussie outfit Sweat It Out!, who recently launched the Sweat sublabel to focus on their housier ventures. The bassline on this one lays it heavy on the sub, allowing things to get super thumpy when the beat drops. It also offers a sharp contrast between the breakdowns, which feature some gorgeously summery keys. MSCLS manages to keep a solid, even-keeled, jackin’ groove from start to finish. This is what summer sounds like. —Alexander Dias

Durtysoxxx “Deja Vu”
Take a listen to these vocals, and feel the nostalgia. Funk’N Deep label owner Durtysoxxx shows us a dark, driving techno version of “Rapture.” I’m a sucker for new music with a taste of familiarity. This one hits the spot. —Shmitty

Michael Canitrot “Sucker for Your Love” (KC Lights Remix)
I can’t even with this one. Yes, that phrase has been getting beaten to death and has practically lost its meaning at this point, but I’ve saved it for a situation that truly renders me useless—and KC Lights is just that thing. He’s flipped the switch all the way up on Michael Canitrot’s extremely relatable song about the fools (e.g., this guy) who fall into those ugly, unrequited relationships when they should very well know better. The original version lands a little too far on the commercial end for my own personal tastes, but the Scot manages to shove the tune straight into the place where credible circles like to congregate. It’s his manic synth work and seamless movement throughout that really has me stuck, making me a stone-cold sucker for what KC’s selling here. —Sam Yu
