Motivation Monday : Project Gratitude [Round 2]

Motivation Monday : Project Gratitude [Round 2] “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough and more.”
“Project Gratitude” is meant to be shared – so I asked friends to contribute and was stoked by everyones enthusiasm and eagerness to answer. I received way more replies (some of them essay length ;)) than I anticipated so I will continue posting answers as the month goes on.  Thanks for supporting the project and participating!

I am grateful for the gift of faith. I am grateful that I believe in a higher power. I was blessed to have been brought up in an interfaith household. At an early age my other engrained the mantra, “God is with me, God is helping me, God is guiding me.” I was taught we can not be whole unless we nurture mind, body, and spirit. Never neglect your spirit. My mother and I no longer have parallel views on religion. She challenges my faith which ignites my search for answers. I will be forever grateful for the high value that was placed on always keeping the faith.

I am grateful to be witness to the change of seasons. Nature’s transition helps me to live in the present. Beginnings and endings seem less daunting when put in the context of leaves changing color or first snow. On that note, I am thankful for my skis for they are the reason I will accept winter with grace.

I am grateful for The Republic of Tea and the genius behind the Cocoa Coconut blend. As a serious sugar addict this tea is the only thing that curbs cravings.  – Haley Belofsky

I am grateful for my health and the ability to practice yoga, hike, swim in the ocean and play with my chocolate lab daily.  My boyfriend recently lost his mother to cancer and I was there by his side through it all.  It broke my heart to watch her go from an active north shore vegan mother, home schooling and running work-out classes to being bedridden and relying on her family for the things she once provided for them.  I thank God everyday for my health and my families health.  I am also very grateful to live my life in Hawai’i.  I feel very connected to this island.  I grew up in a military family living all over the US and never really fit in.  We now get to call O’ahu home forever. – Heather Ettleman

Yoga. Travel. Grow. Be Beautiful. Eat Like A Modern Day Wildwoman.

I’m grateful for everything! The ease, grace, light thats come with facing any and all fears and doing everything I put my mind to.  I’m also very grateful for good people who have connected me to more good people. One thing leads to another…one person leads to another. Silly, but one person led me to a really good hair cut today! It’s the little things. 🙂 – Elisa Lipton
