US techno champion Maceo Plex has just wrapped up the debut season of his Mosaic by Maceo residency in Ibiza, and he’s looking to keep the momentum rolling as he prepares not one, but two new albums that have been produced with a rather “solar” theme.
Due out in November on his own Ellum label, Journey to Solar will be an album of club-focused material. It will lead into another LP due to arrive in Spring 2017: Solar, a more tempered affair that Maceo says is “mostly broken-beat electro/electronica.”
