It’s always a blessing to be asked to share your music with a crowd. However, the process can sometimes be riddled with uncertainty when considering the logistics, and of course, the pay. Not to mention, opportunities to play at larger venues and festivals can often seem out of reach for many artists. AGNT hopes to change all of this with a revolutionary new mobile app that not only streamlines the booking process, but also allows artists to level up in a way we haven’t yet seen.

The app has two faces: one for the artist and another for the promoter. As an artist, you create a profile complete with samples of your music and DJ work, held natively so promoters never have to leave the app. All the info you would find in a rider (weekday/weekend pay range, equipment requirements, availability and cancellation policy, etc.) is set by the artist. AGNT has even partnered with festivals and venues to provide unique opportunities for DJs to open themselves up to new markets. As a promoter, the entire site is searchable by genre and location, allowing you to find a DJ in a pinch or even book out an entire room, if you’d like. Previous promoters can leave feedback and ratings, so you know that your selectahs are always vetted. And payment is handled through the app via direct deposit.
Many DJs are at that level were they are consistently paid for their work but don’t have enough of a following to get signed to an agency. AGNT was built with these DJs in mind. The developers are industry vets and, among them, have decades of experience working with some of the largest names in music, including Native Instruments, Mixed in Key, and Dubspot.
Cofounder Mike Henderson has this to say about AGNT: “We’re giving them the chance to have representation and protection from getting screwed over. Also, there are a lot of DJs I look up to who got pushed out by agents and not getting gigs. AGNT is going to help revive their careers. And now, we have a lot of big DJs coming to us saying, ‘We want to use this.’”
