My latest MSNBC column (via Tripso) is Tourist Discount Cards: Deal or No Deal? The folks running Peter Greenberg’s radio show liked it so much that I’m going on the air this weekend to chat about good discount cards and rip-off cards.
So see the Greenberg Travel Show page to get info on where the show airs in your area. If it’s live it’ll be between 10 and 12 EST. In my market though, it airs (too) early Sunday morning. Thankfully there looks to be a podcast archive.
I just handed in a piece for Budget Travel magazine’s April issue that on the elusive European bargains this year and it’ll touch on this a bit as well. It also looks at transportation cards (you get 7 modes of travel in Athens), rail passes, and other ways to save a withering buck or two. Oddly enough, some of the best values are in Switzerland. Who knew?
