Paige and Zack met through her sister, who attended medical school with him. During their graduation weekend, he took advantage of both families being in town and planned a surprise proposal and celebration. To capture the moments, he invited Kaitlin Poirier to join them on the beach for sunset portraits on Anna Maria Island.
From Zack: I was trying to think of a unique way to propose to Paige that would be memorable and fun for both of us. Because of our (well let's be honest, my) love for drones, I thought it would be interesting to combine her love for the beach with one of my passions. I spent a great deal of time making sure everything would play out just right for the special day. When it came time for my plans to be set into motion, I had trouble getting the drone to hold it's position in the air over the letters "MARRY ME", which I planned to show Paige on my phone. After what seemed like an eternity, I just had to go for it and showed her the letters being filmed onto my phone. Following being down on one knee, and then celebrating with Paige, I had to stop for a quick second and say "I'm so happy sweetheart, but my drone is flying out to sea on it’s own and I need to get it." We shared a good laugh, but everything turned out fine. It just goes to show that no matter how much planning you do, sometimes you have to go with the flow. I could not ask for a more special memory.
Paige is by far the most caring, uplifting, and genuine person I have ever met. Regardless of the circumstances, she finds a way to bring out the positive aspects of any situation. Using patience and kindness, she has an uncanny ability to befriend others and earn their trust.

"I always shuffle my feet along the sand when I walk into the gulf to scare away sting rays," says Paige. "After he had proposed and we were walking into the gulf to take pictures, I was of course doing this, and this big smile came across his face; I knew he was quietly laughing at me knowing what I was doing. To anyone else I would have just looked like I was taking my time walking into the water, but I love that he knows me well enough to know this goofy habit I’ve picked up. In the first few moments of us being engaged, it was just a fun reminder of how well we know and love each others quirks."
My favorite thing about Zack is how thoughtful and attentive he is to every detail. He never makes a big decision to do something without thinking it through. That quality is one of the reasons I knew how serious he was about us when we first started dating.
The two are most looking forward to the same moment on their wedding day: when Paige begins her walk down the aisle. Zack is excited to see her glowing smile and Paige cannot wait to see her groom's face when he sees her for the first time. Zack also adds, "Having all of our loving family and friends by our sides as we enter this new chapter of our lives together will mean everything to us. We are both fortunate to be surrounded by supportive and encouraging people."
