Styled Shoot | Industrial-Chic Romance

“We are so excited to share our Ybor City State Museum stylized wedding shoot with you today! The overall theme was industrial-chic romance meets craft brew. The Ybor City State Museum was the perfect location with it’s white brick and cobblestones. This city landmark has been preserved from times when people would meet and play dominoes and it perfectly embodied the craft brew concept; Ybor is known for it;s big craft brew scene. Our theme also gives a nod to the growing trends for craft cocktails and for brides and grooms with an alternative style. Our lovely bride, JoHannah, was the perfect fit for this alternative-glam theme. She is elegant with an edge (don’t you just love the tattoos and BLUE hair!?). Her rock ‘n’ roll meets pin-up inspired look dazzled in front of the camera. She was a natural! Her real life beau, Terence, was also a rockstar that day! Don’t let this tough guy fool you, he is one big (hello, muscles!) teddy bear! I loved being able to work with a real couple, and a gorgeous, tattooed one at that! They had no problems loving, touching, and giggling with each other…

For decor, we incorporated lots of metallics: aluminum, copper, and bronze – like metal orbs, wood and galvanized chargers. Our craft brew table had growlers (each growler had a slate sign with beer names) with different styles of brew as well as a tasting for the bride and groom to sample. All items were set on a pallet table and a display of pint glasses and vintage amber beer bottles and flowers were used as accents. The cake display was achieved with the use of filing drawers accented with flora. The stands of metal tubing was meant to resemble a keg. Our tablescape featured various vintage wooden chairs, a crushed metallic linen, stacked chargers made of wood and galvanized chargers topped with bisque china and hem stitched napkins. Each table setting was accented with vintage mis-matched gold flat wear and fig colored glass wear. The menu display was a painted binder clip, secured to a metal roofing shingle. The table number was suspended above with the light instillation of Edison bulbs and metal baskets. The bride’s bouquet was aimed for the more alternative style – roses, ferns, orchids, ranunculus, and brewers wheat gave life and vibrant color to the shoot. We adored Terence’s indie-hipsteresque look as he donned a carved wood bowtie, suspenders, and of course some awesome tats! JoHannah wore a Bettie Paige inspired wedding gown to match our vibe. It featured a corset top and exposed boning, very pin-up chic! Enjoy!” – Andi Diamond Photography
