I’ve been excited to share today’s Nautical Cupcake DIY with you for weeks now and you’ll quickly see why! Simply by thredding strips of paper over thin kabob sticks – you can create little sailboat masts and sails that turn cupcakes into miniature ships!
By incorporating your wedding colors or traditional nautical tones – dessert table quickly transforms into a bustling sea of ships! We want to thank Kupcakes & Co for baking these delicious cupcakes for our DIY Project! They were absolutely perfect!
Anchors Aweigh & Happy Crafting!
And once you’ve created a large number of different colored sails – we love the idea of jazzing up a few with small pennant flags! You may remember our Nautical Cupcake DIY from August and today’s project pulls a little inspiration from that post in the next set of images!
And when it all comes together – you have a Sweet Fleet of Nautical Cupcakes! Little sails, pennant flags, and a whole collection of delicious confections! And what makes this DIY project so applicable to a nautical wedding is the ease of setup! Once you’ve created your different sails – it only takes a few minutes to pop them into the cupcakes once your baker arrives!
Suggestion: It would even be fantastic to use these cupcakes as escort cards by writing a guest’s name and table number on each individual sail! You could even try to match the cupcake flavor up with your guests preferences!
