When we started the planning process for Cwtchfest last year, it felt like this weekend would never arrive.
Organising Cwtchfest is so similar to planning a wedding. You book a bunch of stuff in the beginning and then there is a bit of a lull…..then all hell breaks loose a few months before (or in our case…8 days before our event!). Lucky for us, we’ve all been there and done it (the wedding bit) and as most of us all work full time in the wedding industry we totally took control of what could have been a big problem and have turned it around into something even better than what we originally had planned! We’ve also met more incredible professional suppliers in this process that we can’t wait to introduce you to!
This is the only wedding festival in Wales ( #Cwtchfest2016) and we have chosen the best suppliers that are out there.

Maria Farrelly is one of Wales leading wedding photographers. She is the creator of Cwtch the Bride and the Cwtchfest is her amazing idea. Every year Maria takes on a limited number of weddings. The vary in size, style, location and budget. The common thread between all of them is that each and every client adores her work.

At Black Dragon Bars we listen to our customers and go through all the details leading up to the event to ensure everything is how you want it.We provide bars for all types of events. No event is too small or too large and we are happy to go through your event and tailor what we do. Drinks packages can be tailored to your event with options of an all inclusive bar, welcome, toast drink packages, along with the most popular choice of pay bars. We can also offer our bars on dry hire, with or without staff.

I formed the business after identifying a niche market place with in the wedding/party business We specialise in backdrops – namely – flower walls, personalised 8 foot chalk boards (used as photo back drops), and personalised step repeats (these are what celebs stand in front of at events).
As our business continued to grow we were often asked “what else do you do?” this is when we added marquee lighting to our repertoire, with 5 foot LOVE & CWTCH signs include in this.
We then added all the other event paraphernalia, including chair sashes, table plans, invites, popcorn cart and deluxe candy buffet! Being born creative and a hopeless romantic has definitely helped. But more than anything I love to create a event-scape that has the wow factor, no matter how big or small the budget ! I love what we do !
