Words from the Bride:
Rockwater is very special place for us. Tyler’s parents have a second home just minutes away, and we boat by Rockwater fairly often too. During our first few months of dating, we stayed at Rockwater on our first trip to the Sunshine Coast, and I had thought it as a perfect wedding location.
Tyler proposed (it was a total surprise) while we were out on a nearby walk at Smugglers Cove. He had already made plans for lunch at Rockwater (knowing it was a top choice for the wedding). We were sad at first, realizing the resort had a buyout policy all summer- which we knew wouldn’t be possible when we wanted a smaller, more intimate wedding. However, we were so lucky- they had a Sunday exception they could make work! I made nearly every decor item by hand, with the woodwork help of my handy father and grandfather. Together, we built and painted items including: lawn games, chalkboard signs, driftwood signs, re-sized wine boxes, a photo booth with props, crates, etc. I was determined to make my dream wedding fit within the budget!
