Why not use the very first thing you receive for your wedding, as inspiration for your special day? The team at Platinum Jewelry challenged me to do just that, so I chose 3 stunningly different engagement rings to build wedding inspiration boards around and I’m thrilled to share what I created! From a cool, aqua event to a warm, marsala soiree and a modern, sage affair – all are kept grounded by the allure of platinum. Maybe after reading this article you will look at your own engagement ring a little differently… can you envision an event inspired by it like I did here?
Platinum + Aqua
Be still my heart. For those of you turquoise obsessed brides, wouldn’t you DIE over that ring?!?! From the second I laid my eyes on it I dreamed of a cool, romantic wedding packed full of gorgeous aqua shades and sparkling metallics. Platinum is an ideal neutral color to pair with aqua, no matter what style of wedding. Go bold and dress your maids in aqua, but for the rest of your event use it only for the little details. Like the bottom of the brides shoes ( which are DIY ), in the invitation, and a touch on the cake. Aqua glass tableware is a must, paired with shiny silver flatware and maybe even metallic candle holders to finish your tabletop style. I took these three aqua shades right from the facets of the tourmaline precious stone.

Platinum + Marsala
All hail to the color of the year – Marsala! By far, my absolute favorite color to pair with these deep burgundy hues is with platinum. It’s so strikingly romantic and timeless, just like that gorgeous engagement ring! Marsala, just like turquoise is best in small doses because it’s so vibrant – and the perfect backdrop for all that color is silver and gray. I adore the use of shiny silver and matte gray – a wonderful way to add depth and texture to similar shades. This board would make a stunning wedding, valentine party or even holiday event… and ps. that blackberry cocktail is delicious, I would know because I made it!

Platinum + Sage
A fresh and modern color palette I’ve been seeing is black, sage and platinum. Not only trending in weddings but in home design as well. Think of the perfect marriage between Carrara marble, eucalyptus and a modern tux – sounds gorgeous right? Eucalyptus and succulent embellishments pair perfectly against the modern shades of gray including the rustic cement centerpieces. Mixing rustic and classic elements like that is on-trend. Little touches of black here and there are these shades perfect balance. And yet, the beauty of this inspiration is no match for the sparkle of the diamond heart engagement ring set in platinum, true modern style.
