Well, with Month Four being the best month yet, there was nowhere to go but down.
Which is okay. I needed to get serious. Serious about work, serious about not spending too much money, serious about planning the rest of my trip.
It wasn’t as wild and crazy as some of the other months, but Month Five was still a blast — and every day, every minute, I’m reminded that taking this trip was one of the best decisions of my life.

Winding Down
I’m a bit sad that my Asia travels are nearly at an end. But now I’ve started to think about the logistics of what’s going to happen once I get home. Like preparing for my friend Alexa’s many wedding festivities.
And, um, money. I need it. I’m not sure what I want to do for a job, but I need to work hard throughout the summer and save up for the next adventure. That’s a given.
As much as I love my family and friends, my feelings toward coming home would probably be best described as indifferent.
The Next Steps
As you heard, I’m currently recovering from being shipwrecked in Indonesia. I’m still in Bali, and I’d love to visit the Gili Islands.
On April 11, I fly back to Bangkok. I need to get myself to the ancient city of Ayutthaya already, and then I head south to Koh Phangan for the Full Moon Party with my dear friends Ste and Darren. (Have I mentioned them?)
After that, on April 21, I fly out of Bangkok and land in London later that day.
The next day, I’ve got a bus — pardon me, coach — to England’s great northwest.
Do I have a ticket home? NOPE! I should get on that.
Or not.
Watch. I’ll get an under-the-table bartending job in a random English city and end up squatting on a couch for the next few months. That would not surprise me in the slightest.
…man, I want to learn how to pour a pint.
Once again, as always, we’ll see what happens!
