Our personal planners are passionate about their work and they ensure to provide the perfect day for every couple and work tirelessly on a daily basis to make dreams come true. Therefore, they are the ideal professionals to give brides their Top 3 Tips for planning a wedding.
Top 3 Tips for Planning a Wedding
1. Plan the lead up to the big day with a timeline –
Write a schedule of what needs to be completed before the big day. This will make sure that nothing is forgotten along the way and will keep you organised and focused. For example, arrange your menu tasting for 6 months prior to the wedding to sample your choices in preparation to include them on your invitations which will be sent 3 months before the wedding.
2. Accept help from your family and your bridesmaids to alleviate unnecessary stress –
Sometimes accepting help can be difficult when you want to be in control of all areas of the wedding, including decoration creation, accessory research and purchasing, however there are some tasks that can be delegated rather than completed by yourself. You are not alone, let them help you. I’m not saying let your bridesmaids pick your dress or the suits, but give them small jobs to include them and also to help yourself get through your checklist more efficiently.
3. Listen to your planner ‘s advice –
Believe it or not, your wedding planner has coordinated a wedding before. You will be unique, as every wedding is, but you are not their first. Any question you think of (no matter how minute or ridiculous), has more than likely been asked a million time before, so don’t be afraid to ask. If your planner explains three times that you simply cannot have 20 people on top table, there is more than likely a logistical reason that this is not possible. Trust your planner as they have your best interests at heart and they know what works well and what doesn’t. Let them advise you in the right direction.
If you follow the above ‘Top Tips’ from the planners at the Oxwich Bay Hotel, you are sure to have a successful, stress free planning process leading up to the best day of your life.
