Today we have a super sweet ~ Simple DIY for you! How to make an adorable ‘Just Married’ sign to hang up on your favorite newlywed’s hotel door! As a bride, I would LOVE to walk up… (or out!) to this super thoughtful message, wouldn’t you!!! Happy Crafting!
SUPPLIES:
- crepe paper rolls
- sharpie
- scissors
- serrated knife
- scotch tape
1 // Using a serrated knife, cut the crepe paper rolls to your choice of width – then trim to 40″ long – which is the size of most door frames. The fantastic thing about buying it in large rolls like this is that you can cut multiple size banners – you aren’t limited to the normal 2″ width.
2 // To make the chevron pattern, fold a long strip of crepe paper accordion style and cut.
3 // Using a sharpie, write your fun message to the Bride & Groom!
4 // Simply hang the sign using scotch tape. You might have to trim it to fit.
How sweet is this sign! Instead of the normal ‘tricks’ that can be played on a newlyweds hotel room… why not put up this adorable treat for the bride and groom to find on their way to their hotel room for the night! I’m positive they’ll be touched!
So what’s great about this sign… is that you can easily put it up once the bride and groom have entered their hotel room for the night. Most likely the sign will be cause for a few whoops, hollers and whistles – which is a good thing! And then when they finally emerge the next morning… this is what they’ll see! They will have to break the sign down to leave the hotel room ~ what fun!!!
