I can’t help but swoon over today’s color palette… Yellow and Grey! I’ve always spelled grey with the British spelling (probably from my love of tea), and something about this sophisticated tone fits perfectly with a Chesapeake Wedding!

Try-Day Friday Daily Cleaning Schedule

Hey guys! Today, I'm excited to share the second edition of Try-Day Friday. This one is all about keeping things clean. I'm sure that I'm not the only one that feels completely overwhelmed by the thought of keeping the house clean. Now that we've moved from a one and a half bedroom apartment to a 4 bedroom/4 bathroom house, that overwhelming feeling has just about quadrupled for me! I often think, "I should really sweep the floors and vacuum..." only to feel so overwhelmed by the idea of how many floors that need to be cleaned, that I don't try at all! It's bad, I know!

That overwhelming feeling has inspired today's extra clean Try-Day Friday, where I'll be instituting a daily cleaning calendar for myself. I found this schedule on Pinterest several months ago, and I really like the idea of it because it breaks down the very daunting task of keeping your house clean. As you can see, the smart woman who created this schedule, and blogger of Jenny Komenda Interiors , makes cleaning house a little more manageable and gives you a few chores to complete every day. If I can manage to stick to this schedule, I won't be cleaning all day, and I won't be stressed out about how much cleaning I have left to do. I'm going to print out this schedule right now and stick it on my fridge!

Since I am feeling especially motivated now, I am also going to try to clean our dishwasher this weekend! Yes, I said clean my dishwasher. I've never thought to do it before, but given the fact that the dishwasher in our house was used by another family for several years before us, I thought it might be a good idea. I've noticed some scummy stuff on the bottom of it lately. That, and I pinned a great step-by-step guide to how to do it! Wish me luck!

Today’s beautiful Chesapeake Engagement Session was captured by the talented Karena Dixon Photography in Bellevue & Oxford, Maryland! The sunset session took place on Bellevue Beach, before the couple rode the ferry over to the Oxford strand for the second half of the session!

We absolutely love Lindsay and Richie’s gorgeous style and genuine love for one another! The couple is planning a May wedding Sanibel Island, Florida!

Engagement Story: Richie was friends with my older brother, Mitch, and I had a huge crush on him when I was younger and we went to a carnival and I begged my mom to ask him to ride the zipper with me and he did. On another occasion his mom dropped him off at my house to play with Mitch, and he was like 10 and he told his mom he was going to marry me one day. Then our paths never really crossed until I was on spring break from college, and my friend had a party and he was there and asked for my number and we have been together ever since. Engagement story… He bought the ring in october, I never got it until december because I kept “ruining the moment.”

We went to dinner at the big pickle he tried to get me to walk around St. Michaels with him I said it was too cold we should go home and watch a movie. On the way home he wanted us to go to our house that was still under construction he had a box that lit up with the ring in it, and I said they only ran wires for electric today we don’t need to go there its freezing. Then we took ava to the beach some 70 degree day in december and he was really nervous I could tell and he got on his knee and had this long really sweet speech and I basically tackled him and said yes, but it was like a private beach because who goes to the beach in december so it was perfect.

We are incredibly excited to share Meghann and Graham’s first anniversary session today on Bayside Bride! We featured their gorgeous Annapolis Wedding last summer and it was one of our favorites of the year. Lets let Krista take it from here:

“We started their session at McGravey’s since it’s the restaurant where they first met while Graham was a Midshipman at the Naval Academy. We then headed over to St. John’s College where Meghann put on her wedding dress and they pulled out a bottle of champaign and ate the top of their wedding cake. It was such a cute way to celebrate their first year of marriage!”
