Many snow goggle brands are now integrating POV cameras, enabling you to ditch those pesky helmet and ski pole mounts (a potential problem for the snow selfie lovers). For this winter season, Zeal updated their popular HD camera goggles with more advanced specs–meet the Zeal HD2.
Through the 170-degree wide angle lens, the Zeal HD2 camera goggles can snap high-quality, 12-megapixel photos or HD video (1080p or 780p) of your epic pillow drops. The camera automatically adjusts for light levels and has infinity focus. The in-goggle view finder ensures you get the exact shot you want, while glove-friendly buttons on the side of the frame make it easy to operate the camera.
The included 8GB MicroSD card can hold up to 2 hours of 1080p film, while WiFi connectivity means the HD2 can also transfer your data directly to your phone for instant replay or sharing on social media. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery will run for up to three hours before you need to plug it back in to an outlet.
The POV camera is great, but the goggles themselves are pretty high-tech as well. The HD2 utilize Zeal’s anti-fog Optimum Lens technology with a comfortable, impact-resistant frame. The helmet compatible goggles offer 100% UV protection to protect your eyes while playing on the mountain.
The Zeal HD2 camera goggles retail for $499 and are available now.
