Do you get annoyed with having to carry your skis over your shoulder as you lug them from car to the gondola or into the hotel? Well, lug no more. Made in Italy, Skiddi is a pocket-sized device that allows you to easily and quickly drag your skis behind you like a trolley.
Sergio Pedolazzi, the creator of Skiddi, is an avid skier, yet always found it tiring and dangerous to transport his skis on his shoulder. He thought there had to be a way to simplify every skier’s life by creating a new way of moving skis. The result is Skiddi–a small and simple wheeled device that snaps onto the bottom of your skis and can be used by pretty much anyone.
Skiddi works to lighten your load–the bulk of the weight of the skis is born on the ski wheels. It also keeps you from knocking others in the head with your skis as you walk through the village.
The Skiddi ski wheels are very light (86 grams, about 3 oz). The device weighs less than your phone and comes in smaller than your wallet, making it super easy to store in your ski jacket pocket for the day.
For a $35 pledge over on Kickstarter, you can be one of the first to own a Skiddi. The ski wheels will be available in 5 different colors to match your skis: blue, red, pink, orange, and lime.
Given all the unwritten rules on how you are supposed to carry your skis in order to not look like a gaper, I am curious where the Skiddi ski wheels will rank.
