Help Claude VonStroke Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of His Classic "Who's Afraid of Detroit?"

San Francisco stalwart Claude VonStroke is one of the most important artists to emerge from the US underground, with one particularly massive anthem to his name in the form of his 2006 classic “Who's Afraid of Detroit?” It was one of those records that didn’t leave the dancefloors for years, and it helped define his funk-fueled techno sound.

With the single reaching its 10th anniversary this year, VonStroke’s Dirtybird Records label has decided to mark the occasion with a new remix and video from the man himself, as well a collection of reworks from Motor City icons like Octave One and Vision Quest .

“It’s hard to believe an entire decade has gone by since Claude VonStroke first released ‘Who’s Afraid of Detroit,’” Dirtybird Records said in a statement.

“But believe it or not, we’ve reached the 10-year mark of one of the biggest hits of Claude’s career, and we felt it’s about time for some fresh takes on the track that helped launch VonStroke and Dirtybird… We tapped into the Motor City’s outstanding talent pool and enlisted an amazing lineup of Detroit artists to help us celebrate.”

Claude VonStroke’s Who's Afraid of Detroit? 10th Anniversary Remixes are available now on iTunes , Beatport and Spotify . You can watch the video for VonStroke’s own remix below.
