The love for ‘80s video game soundtracks among DJ/producers is a very real thing, as evidenced by Martin Garrix and his free track that he produced to mark the recent E3 Expo in Los Angeles. For those who’d like a shot at recreating these soundtracks themselves, they’ve been given the chance by a new plugin to the Gadget app for iPad and iPhone from synth manufacturer Korg .
Korg has created a new synth for their app in partnership with video game developer Bandai Namco , which recreates the iconic Kamata synth that conjured some of the unforgettable soundtacks featured in classics like Pac-Man and Galaga .
Korg Gadget is available for iOS devices, and you can watch a trailer of the new Katama plugin below.
